Re-writing narratives, transforming communities
In a world characterized by lack of opportunity for some of the most endowed and talented communities, we see an opportunity to re-write narratives, to re-orient social discourse and to develop the socio-economic capital of agro-dependent populations. Taimako Foundation hence provides a crowdfund platform to facilitate meaningful and effective socio-economic change. The vehicle for effecting this change is through agricultural innovations, small and medium size enterprise capacitation and the provision of key rural infrastructure.
Building Businesses and Creating Jobs in Rural Communities
The best measure of effectiveness is impact. This is the bedrock of the concept of our small and medium sized enterprise incubator.
We are aware of the existing deficits in employment numbers and have developed an incubator scheme as an effective solution. There are a large number of unexplored business solutions for agricultural problems. We are convinced the successful implementation of our SME incubator will immensely help grow the value chain and reduce unemployment in our target communities.
The scheme identifies emerging businesses in the agricultural sector and provides support in the form of knowledge impartation, with the hope of evolving into upscaled business avenues for possible investments by financial and business institutions alike. In line with SDG 8 which seeks to promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all, the SME incubator scheme aims to serve as a conveyor belt fast-tracking the development of the SME industry.

The world is changing around us, and our duty to each other is to ensure that this change is effectively beneficial for all of us and that we progress together, leaving no individuals behind. Community developmental programmes have become more than economic levelers; they have taken on the added importance of becoming a lifeline for a great deal of people.
As a nation, one of our weaknesses over the years has been the development of our rural and urban poor communities. Government has made great strides in this regard and we owe it to ourselves to continue in this vein.
Our mandate is to compliment the efforts of government by undertaking sustainable and need-driven projects aimed at changing the life trajectory of our vulnerable target groups. We aim to effect generational change, by implementing projects that can grow exponentially. Every Taimako project undergoes several validation stages, backed by surveys and research; this is to ensure that all our projects reflect the exigent needs of our vulnerable communities.
Transforming lives through service.
We want to ignite a genuine sense of responsibility to each other, where each individual is concerned with the welfare of the person next door. We visualize a society where money alone does not define the concept of aid. Intellectual, emotional and physical offerings are priceless tools that can inevitably contribute to the development of an individual or community. Our online platform provides an opportunity for all individuals to volunteer towards a project or mentorship program. Our volunteerism projects cover a wide spectrum from behavioral impact, renewable energy, water, financial inclusion, community development and agricultural transformation.

We work in close collaboration with SMEs, startup entities and development-centred institutions who share in our vision of creating wealth through sustainable practices and efficiency in our core areas. We aspire to create lasting relationships across varying geographic and industrial fields, fostering multiple avenues of economic empowerment and advancement through education, innovation initiatives which look to bring marginalized communities into the fold of progressive development.
What Drives Us

My work in the development space over the last decade has open my eyes to the harsh realities faced by our marginalised populations in Ghana. Taimako encompasses my drive to resolve deep-rooted inequalities, my hope to present viable opportunities to the less privileged and dream to change the life trajectory of many Ghanaians currently living in abject poverty.
At Taimako, we seek to serve and develop. Our raison d’être is to be a dependable factory of socio-economic solutions while protecting the environment for future generations. To this end, we believe our ideas and solutions should fit into the Sustainable Development Goals agenda and we aim to achieve this by growing the intellectual base of our collaborators while securing and enriching our shared financial prospects.
