Campaign Story

The skill needed to create baskets and other related materials is impressive
and lucrative. The training session we look to implement will allow individuals and groups
pick up skills for recreational purposes or as an alternative source of income. A huge number
of marginalized individuals are under/unemployed and are finding it difficult to make ends
meet. When taken seriously, this initiative can provide individuals with a way to earn income
or a hobby to keep them occupied. Taimako realises the impact non-formal skills like basket
weaving can have in the lives of marginalized communities and will look to capitalise on this
to reach their target demographic.
