Campaign Story

The concept of an annual artisanal workference is situated on the need to streamline the artisanal job-seeking model. We are well aware the majority of career conferences focus mainly on the preparation for and provision of formal job opportunities. By the very nature of this model, only the literate are catered for. At our annual artisanal workference, we aim to interact with illiterate and semi-literate individuals with an interest in economic engagement at the artisanal level on the opportunities that exist and which preparations are required. For most marginalized people, job-seeking is a matter of as and when and not necessarily a matter of meeting pre-established qualification criteria. Our plan is to make this a thing of the past by investing in our energies in informing and preparing them, given them a general outlook of the artisanal landscape and helping them to make a decision on when and how they wish to engage. We want to help people become better versions of themselves regardless of their educational or working background. We also want to help them fully appreciate the opportunities available to them and which skill-sets they need to hone to put them in pole position to deliver effectively. That is the foundational concept behind the introduction of
the annual artisanal workference.
